About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and oversee assigned Sleepwear and Sportswear accounts with a focus on major off-price retailers
  • Maintain trusted relationships with buyers and key decision-makers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Develop strategies to grow existing accounts, increase volume, and expand account penetration
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new programs, categories, and product offerings
  • Analyze account performance and maximize sales and profitability
  • Manage seasonal sales plans, forecasts, pipelines, and account goals
  • Conduct buyer meetings, market appointments, line reviews, and presentations
  • Present product assortments, collections, concepts, and pricing
  • Negotiate pricing, programs, quantities, and delivery requirements
  • Manage the sales process from concept and product presentation through order placement and execution
  • Follow up with buyers to ensure timely decisions and maximize opportunities
  • Monitor customer needs, competitive activity, market trends, pricing, and consumer demand
  • Partner with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Production, and Planning teams on customer-tailored product
  • Oversee customer-specific programs, including samples, costing, approvals, and production timelines
  • Communicate buyer feedback, product direction, pricing expectations, and market needs to internal teams
  • Provide market and customer insights to shape product strategies and assortments
  • Partner with leadership to establish and achieve annual sales goals
  • Represent the company at trade shows, market weeks, and customer events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of progressive apparel sales experience
  • Proven sales experience with off-price retailers
  • Strong relationships and demonstrated experience selling to major off-price accounts such as Ross, Burlington, TJ Maxx/Marshalls, Gabe's, or similar retailers
  • Proven track record of managing and growing significant existing accounts
  • Strong understanding of off-price retail, including pricing, margins, inventory opportunities, and customer buying strategies
  • Excellent buyer relationship, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of apparel product development, sourcing, costing, and production
  • Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities within existing accounts and drive incremental sales
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and ability to manage multiple accounts and seasonal programs simultaneously
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-oriented approach to sales
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and market appointments as needed
