About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate with Technology, OPCOs, and business units to facilitate intake of technology change requests for customer-facing systems
  • Maintain business continuity planning documentation for multiple critical work functions
  • Coordinate with enterprise teams to maintain documentation and monthly ICS readiness communications
  • Lead small to medium-sized business projects supporting continuous process improvement
  • Support PII data protection efforts across multiple customer-facing systems
  • Coordinate operational controls and Sarbanes-Oxley control testing across multiple teams
  • Coordinate SOX 302 reviews and SOX 404 testing for leadership certification
  • Analyze enterprise process data and create insights
  • Develop and measure KPIs with business units to measure ongoing value to AEP
  • Drive and implement process workflows using process data in collaboration with business partners
  • Define and monitor performance metrics to measure process improvement effectiveness
  • Develop and conduct employee training on process changes, roles, responsibilities, and system standards
  • Collect organizational feedback and maintain process change documentation
  • Map proposed processes across the organization with a broad, high-level outlook
  • Evaluate real and potential risks to projects and process implementation
  • Develop reports and presentations for higher-level management
  • Coach and develop lower-level team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree in Project Management, Business Process, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Alternatively, High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Six (6) years of experience in continuous improvement process activities, operations, project management, or business analytics
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Power Apps, Power BI, Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of AEP management
  • Highest standards of ethical behavior and support for the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy
  • Occasional travel expected
  • Auditing experience and Primavera (P6) knowledge are a plus
  • Ability to participate in establishing a healthy culture of continuous Process Improvement
