About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the project manager in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating assigned project and outage work activities.
Perform the lead role on local and Regional Projects.
Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for the AEP System Safety Process.
Responsible for shepherding high risk projects between Engineering and Construction/Operations.
Develop solid working relationships and foster teamwork.
Leverage relationships between Telecom Operations, Telecom Construction, Business Units, and 3rd party Contractors.
Provide detailed specific guidance, feedback, instruction, and training.
Perform post project reviews/audits to critique performance.
Develop documentation to assist in process change and performance improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management, Computer Science or Telecommunications
Associate's degree in engineering/technical with 2 years' of relevant Telecommunications experience
High School Diploma/GED with 4 years' of relevant Telecommunications experience
Eight (8) years' experience including work in construction or field operations experience, Telecommunications project execution
PMP is strongly preferred.
