Key responsibilities & impact

Provide complex technical support and training for computer Energy Management Systems or Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition systems.
Ensure reliable operations of EMS and SCADA systems, making recommendations for improvements.
Conduct complex troubleshooting and problem resolution across all areas of expertise.
Build and maintain custom online displays for EMS and SCADA systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related technical field; or high school diploma and two years related military or electric utility technical experience.
Strong skills in communication, issue resolution, organization, and facilitation.
Experience with SCADA systems preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide after-hours support as necessary.
Begin to gain understanding of current technology utilized by AEP with Senior Level guidance.
