About the role

  • Perform intermediate-level engineering work and projects to meet assigned objectives
  • Identify issues with processes and tools and propose solutions
  • Complete complex RPA tasks with limited supervision
  • Configure RTUs (new and legacy) and complete configurations with limited supervision
  • Expand communication technology competency (Async, Sync, AEP, etc.)
  • Support stakeholders with common SCADA-related issues
  • Complete alarm and basic I/O 2411 settings for greenfield and brownfield projects
  • Implement standards and assist higher-level team members with SCADA compliance
  • Coordinate work activities and provide training/guidance to lower-level employees
  • Develop input to forecast costs for routine projects and improvements
  • Resolve routine and moderately complex problems and recommend enhancements to business processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent alternatives as described
  • Engineering Technologist degree will be considered
  • Acceptable alternative: non-ABET Bachelor's plus Master's or PhD from university with ABET-accredited Bachelor's program
  • Engineer Grade 6: typically 2+ years related engineering experience
  • Engineer Grade 7: typically 4+ years related engineering experience (or 2 years with Master’s)
  • Engineer Senior Grade 8: typically 6+ years related engineering experience (or 4 years with Master’s)
  • Engineer Principal Grade 9: typically 8+ years related engineering experience (or 6 years with Master’s)
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) encouraged/preferred for some levels
  • Experience with RPA (complex RPA with new and legacy aspects)
  • RTU configuration experience (including legacy systems)
  • Communication technology competency (Async, Sync, AEP, etc.)
  • Ability to support stakeholders with SCADA-related issues
  • Experience with alarm and basic I/O 2411 settings for greenfield and brownfield projects
  • Familiarity with SCADA compliance and standards implementation
