About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain reliable operations of SOM, Epilog, CMS, and AMP, referred to as Transmission Outage Systems (TOS).
Improve and make recommendations to improve the quality, efficiency, and reliability of TOS and related services.
Provide assistance and guidance to employees across the corporation in the proper use of applications
Assist higher level team members with overall Transmission Outage Systems needs.
Train lower-level Analysts in specific equipment and software support activities.
Investigate, analyze and resolve application issues with no direction from senior staff.
Perform data analysis and assist in the development of reports with no direction from senior staff.
Coordinate the development of business processes and associated application requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related technical field or higher from an accredited college/university
High school diploma and two years related military or electric utility technical experience
Four (4) years DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with associate’s degree
Six (6) years of experience with a high school diploma
Individuals with a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of DMS/EMS/SCADA experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
Detailed knowledge is required in three other pertinent areas: Application development, Operating System support, Computer system administration, Database technologies and support.
Strong skills in communication, issue resolution, organization, and facilitation are essential.
