About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing complex engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.
- Supporting the activities necessary to ensure compliance to applicable NERC and industry standards related to configuration changes to the transmission grid.
- Providing engineering support to Transmission Field Services personnel in the final commissioning and verification of planned and unplanned work on the transmission grid.
- Reviewing upcoming system outages for applicable configuration changes.
- Performing Root Cause analysis on identified system of record discrepancies to identify process improvements opportunities and ensure accurate facility ratings and relay settings information.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET* along with 2 or more years of related engineering experience
- Master's degree in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET* may be considered for entry into the organization at this level
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology if they obtain a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 4 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*;
- 2 years of related engineering experience along with a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*;
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico** is encouraged and preferred
