About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support for EMS Systems or SCADA systems in Transmission Operations centers
Maintain reliable operations of the DMS/EMS model systems
Improve and make recommendations to improve the quality and reliability of DMS/EMS model data
Keep DMS/EMS and SCADA tools up to date with current technologies
Define and implement Human Performance Initiative rules and Key Performance Indicators around EMS SE Model updates
Troubleshoot and provide solutions for processes and tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related technical field
High school diploma and two years related military or electric utility technical experience
No experience necessary with degree
Two (2) years of DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with associate’s degree and four (4) years with a high school diploma
Detailed knowledge in application development, operating system support, computer system administration, and database technologies
Strong skills in communication, issue resolution, organization, and facilitation are essential
Provide after-hours support for the EMS/SCADA systems as needed
