About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advising and assisting management on the administration of safety and health (S&H) event policies and procedures
- Disseminating safety and health information
- Coordinating the implementation of safety and health programs
- Conducting safety and health observations and visitations
- Rendering guidance on safety and accident prevention to other members of management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in safety, health, industrial hygiene/health or relevant field
- OR associate degree in relevant field of study with two years’ experience in related electric utility field operations
- OR High School diploma/GED with four years in S&H administration, field experience or related electric utility field operations experience
- 2 years’ experience in S&H or electric utility operations experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Certified Asbestos Contractor Supervisor, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, and/or Certified Utility Safety Professional desirable but not required
- Proficient oral and written skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and independence
