About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research emerging trends in AI, medicine, cardiology, digital health, clinical decision support, and health care data markets.
  • Track competitive developments involving medical AI companies, large language models, clinical knowledge platforms, registry-based analytics, and AI-enabled education or certification products.
  • Prepare concise written briefs, memos, slide content, and background materials for senior leadership, task forces, committees, and Board-level discussions.
  • Support analysis of potential ACC product and business opportunities, including registry-enabled research tools, AI-assisted clinical knowledge products, education offerings, certification pathways, and industry-facing data services.
  • Help document use cases, market needs, customer segments, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations for proposed AI and innovation initiatives.
  • Assist with stakeholder interviews, market scans, competitive landscaping, and synthesis of input from physicians, staff, consultants, technology partners, and external experts.
  • Translate complex technical or strategic concepts into clear, executive-ready language.
  • Maintain organized research files, issue trackers, decision logs, and briefing materials to support ongoing strategy development.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, public policy, biology, health policy, data science, business, computer science, philosophy, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent writing, synthesis, and analytical skills.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity about artificial intelligence, health care, medicine, technology, and business strategy.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, learn quickly, and turn loosely defined questions into structured analysis.
  • Comfort reading technical, clinical, market, and policy materials, even when the subject matter is unfamiliar.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when working on confidential strategic initiatives.
  • Facility with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and basic research tools; experience with AI tools, data analysis, or health care research is helpful but not required.
