About the role
- Supports Spanish and English-speaking cancer patients, families, and caregivers by providing high-quality cancer-related information
- Responds to a high-volume of inquiries across multiple channels (phone, email, chat, SMS)
- Assesses patient needs and addresses psychosocial stressors
- Connects constituents with American Cancer Society programs and community resources
- Manages a regular caseload of new and ongoing cases with timely follow-up and resolution
- Meets established performance goals and metrics
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum one year experience utilizing bilingual English / Spanish skills in a contact center and/or customer service experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a healthcare-related field preferred
- Written and verbal language proficiency required in Spanish and English
- Work from home experience, strongly preferred
- Strong verbal communication, written communication, and listening skills
- Ability to translate medical information accurately and effectively in Spanish and English
- Strong customer service orientation
- Basic familiarity with utilization of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Typing proficiency of 40 WPM
