About the role

  • Support the creation and preparation of training presentations, materials, and resources under the guidance of senior training staff, ensuring alignment with Company objectives.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of live training sessions, both in-person and virtual, including scheduling, hosting, and follow-up activities.
  • Help develop effective online training courses using modern instructional design tools and adult learning principles to maximize knowledge transfer.
  • Create, maintain, and update new and existing training courses and materials by following established templates and guidelines, while evaluating training effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of core property operations and initiatives to effectively support training efforts, materials, and resources.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating training materials, policies, and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevancy, following direction from senior staff.
  • Track training attendance, completion rates, and compliance metrics, escalating any issues to senior team members as needed.
  • Conduct preliminary research on training topics, gathering relevant information to support content development and delivery. This includes understanding business applications, systems and processes, policies and procedures, implementation requirements, troubleshooting, reporting, accountability measures, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Execute assigned training initiatives as directed by department leadership, including scheduling and coordination with business owners, creation and review of presentation materials, delivery of live or recorded sessions, development of supplemental resources, and follow-up processes.
  • Collaborate with business units on training and communications related to system implementations and policy or procedural rollouts, including scheduling, defining learning objectives, and developing training materials.
  • Assist in the annual and ad-hoc review and updating of policies, manuals, supporting documentation, curriculum, and compliance measures to ensure ongoing accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including content management, auto-assignments, auditing, reporting, compliance tracking, and interface updates.
  • Provide administrative support for corporate training projects and events, including conference planning and logistics coordination.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees across departments to foster engagement and support training initiatives.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in learning and development and share relevant insights with the team.
  • Assist in corporate projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 1- 3 years’ experience in student housing, higher education, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Student Housing Operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of training and learning and development best practices, instructional design and learning management system technology platform, Generative AI applications, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
