Key responsibilities & impact

Provide commissioning engineering expertise across the design, construction, and startup phases of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems
Evaluate and interpret system designs, including electrical plans and specifications, to determine commissioning requirements
Apply engineering judgment to develop, adapt, and refine commissioning procedures and inspection frameworks
Provide technical direction to Project Managers and project teams on commissioning strategy
Independently assess system performance by reviewing contractor test results
Lead commissioning evaluations in the field, including oversight of inspections
Analyze system behavior and test results to identify deficiencies
Determine and recommend corrective actions by applying engineering principles
Review and approve corrective actions and system readiness
Synthesize technical findings into engineering conclusions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline
Up to one (1) year of electrical engineering experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems
Working understanding of electrical systems and controls
OSHA 30 certification at time of application is required
NFPA 70e certification is required
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
MS Office proficiency required with Adobe, Excel and Word
Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills.
Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
