About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a variety of electrical design functions
- Development of facility models and construction drawings
- Complete design of lighting systems for buildings and outdoor areas
- Fixture selection, model calculations for lighting levels
- Assistance with cost estimating and equipment summary for bills of materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in engineering from a certified institution
- Four (4) or more years of electrical engineering design experience
- Construction support experience for Title 3 activities
- Sole US citizenship required (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)
- Short Circuit Analysis experience
- Working knowledge of the NEC
- DOE experience desired (preferred)
- NQA-1 experience desired (preferred)
- Lighting calculation experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with 3-Dimensional Applications (preferred)
- Knowledge of a broad range of electrical systems, including power system design, substation design, fire alarm design, lighting design, load flow studies, communications design, grounding design, and equipment selection
- Ability to independently produce construction documentation using 2-D and 3-D applications
- Experience in providing construction support or services during construction
