About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support geophysical surveys using in-house survey equipment
- Assist in the design of survey programmes to identify subsurface risks
- Support the design of third party onshore and near-shore marine surveys
- Utilise industry-standard software to process raw field data into actionable models
- Assist with the interpretation of seismic datasets and conduct structural analysis
- Manage field equipment maintenance and uphold strict Health & Safety standards on-site.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in Geophysics, Geology, or Civil Engineering (MSc preferred)
- 2+ years in a commercial engineering or environmental geophysics environment
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and geophysical processing software
- Willingness to travel to remote sites across the UK and overseas when required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time and priorities while working on several varied projects
- Ability to autonomously develop critically thought-out solutions and bring work scopes to the team, including the ability to show/communicate critical thinking in assessing other solutions.
