About the role

  • Provides accounting and financial support for transportation and logistics operations in accordance with Navy financial policies and accounting standards
  • Tracks transportation costs, reviews invoices, reconciles charges, and maintains accurate financial records related to freight, cargo movement, and transportation services
  • Reviews shipping documentation, validates billing accuracy, and ensures costs are properly allocated and recorded
  • Supports budget tracking, prepares financial reports, and assists with audits or reviews related to transportation expenditures
  • Maintains accounting files, supports internal controls, coordinates with transportation and logistics personnel to resolve discrepancies, and ensures compliance with financial and contractual requirements
  • Contributes to accurate cost management and financial accountability in a remote, mission‑driven environment

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, transportation accounting, or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, cost tracking, and financial reconciliation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and accounting or financial tracking systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be in possession of a valid Passport and be able to travel internationally. Passport should be valid for a minimum of 1 plus years at the time of hiring.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
