About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform electrical engineering design and construction support functions
- Survey/assess existing facility and master planning
- Scoping and estimating level of engineering effort
- Field work to assess existing conditions
- Report writing
- Conceptual design and design development of drawings, specifications, calculation analyses
- Assistance with cost estimating
- Technical review of design packages
- Direct activities of junior engineering staff
- Construction support: dispositioning NCRs, performing assessments, responding to RFIs, issuing DCNs
- Coordination with Quality on inspections
- Development of Scopes of work for electrical subcontracts
- Services during bidding and construction: answering RFIs, bid review, shop drawing review, site visits during construction, commissioning support, hosting progress meetings, project closeout
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS or MS-Electrical Engineering from an ABET-certified institution
- 8 or more years of electrical engineering design experience
- Construction support experience for Title 3 activities
- Citizen of United States
- Short Circuit Analysis experience
- Very knowledgeable in the NEC
- Experience leading groups of engineers and designers on major projects
- Experience with leading technical discussions with client
- Ability to author proposals and Statements of work is a plus
