About the role
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and report on project cost performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
- Support the integration of cost and schedule data for accurate earned value analysis.
- Prepare and deliver cost reports, cash flow projections, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of cost and schedule objectives.
- Assist in change management processes, including cost impact assessments.
- Maintain compliance with company standards and industry best practices for cost control and reporting.
- Participate in project meetings and provide expert cost engineering insights.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project controls with a focus on cost engineering.
- Proficiency in cost management tools and Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).
- Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- CCE certification (Certified Cost Engineer) is a plus.
- Experience with large-scale projects and integrated project controls systems is desirable.
