About the role
- Support infrastructure work around the existing 5 Basin at HMNB Devonport used for active nuclear submarines
- Work on maintenance and support upgrades as part of a multi-billion pound, decade-long dockyard redevelopment
- Produce BIM models and 2D/3D drawings for electrical/mechanical building services
- Operate in a multidisciplinary engineering team on technically challenging defence infrastructure projects
- Work under flexible arrangements with a mixture of office-based and home working; Glasgow office preferred base
- Use Common Data Environment (CDE) and adhere to QA systems
Requirements
- Possess knowledge of the electrical/mechanical engineering discipline
- Fluent in Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to produce 3D CAD information in a BIM environment
- Production of 2D/3D drawings
- Capability across Electrical/Mechanical disciplines including Electrical Building Services
- Familiar with BIM, use of Common Data Environment (CDE) and QA systems
- Experience in aspects of electrical/mechanical building services, power, lighting, CCTV, Alarms, etc.
- Experience of working in a multidiscipline engineering industrial design team (preferred)
- Experienced in defence or nuclear related industry preferred but not essential
- Willing to travel if/when required
- Relevant qualification minimum HND or equivalent
- Must be sole UK National, resident in the UK for preceding 5 years, and able/willing to obtain SC security clearance
