About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and execute the sourcing strategy, category optimization initiatives, and supplier management activities for the PP/PE resin portfolio across assigned Amcor sites in EMEA
  • Develop and execute resin category strategy aligned with the regional and global purchasing strategy
  • Conduct in depth market analysis to identify trends, lead long term sourcing strategy opportunities
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for the category/supplier
  • Track and report savings, monitor TCO improvement and working capital improvement
  • Enhance supplier relationships through innovative negotiation techniques
  • Collaborate strongly with relevant departments to ensure understanding and compliance with key purchasing strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Procurement and category management
  • Must have experience in commodity procurement (Polymers, steel, agricultural etc)
  • Proficient in strategic sourcing, negotiations and cost optimization
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in benchmarking, supplier inquiries, and sourcing activities
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
