About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Overall responsibility for operational controlling of our production and logistics areas.
  • Analysis, assessment and monitoring of financial and process-related KPIs within the production environment.
  • Preparation of regular reports and ad-hoc analyses to support management and investment decisions.
  • Calculation, analysis and further development of manufacturing costs, overhead cost structures and allocation rates.
  • Support of budget and forecast processes in close cooperation with cost center managers.
  • Monitoring of material costs, scrap, inventories and value creation along the production chain.
  • Support for operational areas in cost-optimization, efficiency and Lean initiatives.
  • Responsibility for the inventory process, including ensuring inventory accuracy and process compliance.
  • Management and optimization of working capital (in particular inventory levels and tied-up capital).
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and internal control systems (ICS).
  • Active support and coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Identification and implementation of cost-optimization and efficiency-improvement measures in close collaboration with production and logistics.
  • Further development of reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) for data-driven management.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in business administration or an equivalent qualification, ideally with further training in controlling.
  • Several years of experience in controlling at a production or industrial company, preferably in the packaging or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of production and logistics processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a structured, independent way of working.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP (FI/CO; knowledge of MM/SD is an advantage).
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, data analysis and processing large data volumes is an advantage.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, a hands-on mentality and strong communication skills.
  • Enjoy working with operational teams and driving improvements.
