About the role

- Provide technical input to optimize machining and support Level I CNC Programmers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical diploma in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Machining or related fields
- Preferably pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related areas
- Intermediate/advanced CNC programming (lathe and machining center)
- Experience with CAM software
- Advanced reading and interpretation of technical drawings and GD&T
- Dimensional metrology and tolerance control
- Machining processes for Tooling (toolroom)
- Cutting tools, materials and machining parameters
- Machine elements and mechanical adjustments

- Prepare, set up and validate complete CNC machine setups, defining machining strategies, cutting parameters, tools, fixtures and operation sequences
- Operate CNC equipment when required, making fine process adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish and functionality of machined parts
- Interpret technical drawings, 3D models, production orders and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with geometric tolerances and functional requirements

- Identify, analyze and correct programming, tooling, machine or machining process failures, proposing technical solutions to reduce rework and increase productivity
- Provide technical support for the development and standardization of CNC programs, tools, fixtures and machining methods for the Tooling department
- Act as a technical reference for CNC Programmers I, guiding best practices in programming, operation and safety
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, cost reduction, machine time optimization and increased tool and equipment life
- Comply with and ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures and legal requirements (applicable regulations), using mandatory PPE
- Care for CNC machines, cutting tools, fixtures, measuring instruments and maintain organization and cleanliness of the Tooling area
- Record and keep updated program information, process changes, machining times and incidents in internal systems
- Maintain confidentiality of drawings, CNC programs, tooling projects and the company’s technical information
- Pursue continuous technical development, keeping up with new technologies, CAM software, cutting tools and machining processes
