About the role
- Support the coordination, development and drive of CI initiatives in the BU, within CI team, and across functions when required.
- Coach and promote the development of Continuous Improvement mindset in the plants and within the BU team.
- Participate actively in the development of Continuous Improvement agenda and Roadmap, within CI function and respective BU.
- Diagnose plants and set aspirational improvement targets.
- Support delivery of CI projects in line with the plan.
- Introduce and apply appropriate CI tools and methodologies and best practices.
- Engage, in conjunction with the rest of CI team, the site management, their teams and key stakeholders in the transformation effort.
- Communicate progress and celebrate success.
- Collaborate pro-actively with teams across AFEMEA to leverage best practice and drive a ‘One Amcor’ approach.
- With the SMEs, develop, document and codify the Amcor Flexibles Production System (AFPS) including KPIs, standards and process best practices.
- Embed the AFPS and Performance Boost/OperationsPlus principles at each site in a sustainable way, according to the deployment strategy.
- Provide training around key Operations Excellence improvement levers.
- Mentor and support all co-workers in up-skilling, also through promotion of internal trainings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Operations Excellence / Continuous Improvement, preferably in leadership roles.
- Knowledge of converting technologies (printing, lamination, slitting), capsules manufacturing technologies advantageous.
- Experience on supporting significant change / transformation projects within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Experience of Lean, WCM/IWS and continuous improvement methodologies e.g. Six Sigma/Kaizen
- Degree in a science, technology or engineering subject preferred; advanced degree advantageous.
- Fluent spoken and written English and French.
