About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interpret and enter clinical information for daily incoming cases across any specialty
Clinical information may be obtained from test requisition forms, attached medical records and pedigrees, or communications with ordering clinicians
Maintain clinical data records as updated information is provided to Ambry
Follow-up with ordering clinicians as needed or as directed by supervisor for clarification of detail in records and requisition of additional records
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Biology - related field or equivalent healthcare or laboratory-related work experience
Good interpersonal/communication skills
General knowledge of computers and navigating databases
Self-motivated and team-oriented
Strong attention to detail
Interest in genetic counseling career, and/or previous lab experience a plus
Previous experience working with medical records abstraction, data entry, or data management preferred
