About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret and enter clinical information for daily incoming cases across any specialty
- Clinical information may be obtained from test requisition forms, attached medical records and pedigrees, or communications with ordering clinicians
- Maintain clinical data records as updated information is provided to Ambry
- Follow-up with ordering clinicians as needed or as directed by supervisor for clarification of detail in records and requisition of additional records
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Biology - related field or equivalent healthcare or laboratory-related work experience
- Good interpersonal/communication skills
- General knowledge of computers and navigating databases
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest in genetic counseling career, and/or previous lab experience a plus
- Previous experience working with medical records abstraction, data entry, or data management preferred
