About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to engineering projects within the B2B 'Educator Tool' from conception to completion
Apply and improve best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
Use AI and agentic tools such as Claude Code throughout exploration, implementation, testing, and code review
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine project requirements and specifications
Address ad-hoc requests from customer support channels
Share knowledge within the AMBOSS community and contribute to continuous learning and growth

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid hands-on experience with PHP and at least one modern framework such as Symfony, Slim, or Laravel, plus MySQL
Solid experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar, with exposure to agentic engineering workflows
Experience across the web development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Exposure to requirements analysis and system design is a plus
Experience building and integrating GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs
Experience with relational database design
Familiarity with SOLID principles, clean code, and common design patterns
Proficient in Git, including branching, merging, and code review processes
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different stakeholders
Curiosity and interest in optimizing processes and learning the domain's ins and outs
Initiative, analytical mindset, proactive and solution-oriented approach
Sense of ownership and drive to see topics through
Valid work permit for the country being applied to
