About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead frontend engineering projects within the B2B Educator Tool from conception to completion
Set and promote best practices in code health, testing, accessibility, and maintainability
Champion AI-first development using agentic tools such as Claude Code
Collaborate with Product and Design to shape requirements and create technical plans
Address ad-hoc requests from customer support channels
Mentor engineers and share knowledge within the AMBOSS community
Enable educational institutions to use AMBOSS resources effectively when teaching residents and students

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep hands-on expertise with modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
Proven experience integrating AI coding agents such as Claude Code or similar into production work
Experience across the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Experience with shared design systems and component libraries
Experience integrating GraphQL and/or REST APIs from the frontend
Deep understanding of accessibility and WCAG guidelines
Expertise in frontend performance optimization, including bundle sizes, tree-shaking, and lazy loading
Experience with component testing strategies, including unit, integration, and visual regression testing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Curiosity and interest in optimizing processes and learning domain details
Analytical, proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Strong sense of ownership and mentoring ability
