About the role
- Drive development of core platform components (pipelines, dbt models, data contracts, observability, CI/CD)
- Collaborate with Analytics and Product Engineering to deliver reliable, self-service data infrastructure
- Contribute to architectural decisions for warehouse evolution, data governance, and real-time data needs
- Define and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, and reliability
- Act as technical mentor to other engineers; support team planning and reviews
- Begin shaping the data-platform roadmap in collaboration with the Head of Data
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or platform roles
- Deep SQL and Python skills; strong experience with dbt and orchestration tools like Airflow
- Hands-on experience with cloud warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake) and cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS)
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
- A solid grasp of data modeling, observability, and governance principles
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder alignment experience in cross-functional teams
- Motivation and potential to grow into technical leadership and platform ownership.
