About the role
- Support monthly tax filing preparation and follow up on tax payments
- Assist with reconciliation and data quality management across our systems (Shops, Data Warehouse, Accounting, Tax Engine)
- Contribute to tax research and support the development of tax strategies
- Support international tax registration projects
- Assist with yearly transfer pricing processes and external tax reportings
- Actively contribute to projects in these areas, showing initiative and growing toward independent ownership as you gain experience
Requirements
- You're currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Economics, or a related field with a focus on taxation
- At least one more year of enrollment ahead of you and the intention to stay in the role for a minimum of 12 months
- First work/university experience in finance or accounting or tax (exposure to tax, is a plus!)
- High interest in tax-related topics and ambition to deepen your expertise
- Solid skills in spreadsheets and an interest in developing them further
- Interest in working with accounting systems and tax engines (e.g., Datev, ERP, Avalara)
- Clear and confident communication style, able to explain findings in a simple, structured way
- Self-organized and reliable working style, with a high level of ownership for your tasks and projects
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn, with the ability to contribute in a dynamic team environment
- Fluency in German and English, written and spoken.
