About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review smaller vendor contracts against standard criteria, flag issues for Legal Counsel review, and take routine cases through approval
  • Classify vendors into categories and establish a clean contract filing structure
  • Review DPAs and vendor privacy terms in collaboration with Legal Counsel Privacy & IT
  • Keep records of processing activities up to date and flag personal-data involvement
  • Draft and manage low-level partnership agreements with student associations from first draft to signature
  • Support civil law and IP topics, including trademark, copyright, and content-usage questions
  • Grow into handling simple B2B cases independently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled in a law programme in Germany and in the 5th semester or beyond
  • German at C2 level
  • English at C1 level or above
  • Interest in data protection
  • First exposure to or genuine interest in civil law and IP law
  • Structured and reliable way of working
  • Clear, precise writing
  • Ability to work independently and with ambition in close collaboration with a team of three seniors
  • Good judgement about what can be decided independently and what requires senior team-member ownership
  • Curiosity about how legal work connects to the commercial side of a business
