About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform equipment start-up and commissioning of newly installed HVAC systems, including verifying proper operation and settings.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize system life and efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment issues such as electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, or airflow imbalances.
- Verify that control systems and safety devices are functioning correctly.
- Work with project managers and installation teams to resolve post-installation issues quickly and effectively.
- Document all service and maintenance work performed, including test results, parts used, and system adjustments.
- Provide clear communication to customers about system performance, recommended improvements, and service needs.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, codes, and company procedures.
- Participate in training to stay current with HVAC technologies, diagnostic tools, and energy efficiency practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experience (installation background a plus).
- Advanced knowledge of the refrigeration cycle
- Advanced understanding of wiring schematics and troubleshooting
- EPA Type 1 & 2 Refrigerant Certification required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work in diverse environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoor conditions).
