About the role
- Review and edit subtitles for accuracy, grammar, cultural relevance, and alignment with audio/visual content
- Perform quality checks on dubbing materials, ensuring proper synchronization, timing, and lip-sync accuracy
- Conduct detailed QC checks to confirm subtitles and dubbing meet technical and client specifications
- Test synchronized content across platforms and devices for consistency
- Identify and resolve issues related to formatting, timing, and synchronization prior to final delivery
Requirements
- University degree in Audiovisual Arts, Media, or a related field
- 5 – 10 years of experience in subtitle editing and quality control within the media localisation industry
- Strong knowledge of subtitling tools and technologies
- Solid understanding of synchronization techniques and QC processes
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are an advantage.
