About the role
- Download and process ACH pension and payroll files using approved secure transmission programs
- Schedule files to appropriate sending points and comply with Federal Reserve and FIS ACH deadlines
- Enforce all Bank ACH security and operating procedures and report violations
- Research and resolve customer discrepancies, modification requests, deletions and reversals
- Contact clients regarding unprocessed and rejected items; follow up with relationship managers to resolve funding issues
- Process holds, customer notes, special instructions, errors; track and archive supporting documents
- Assist with ACH reporting requirements and prepare reconciliations and settlements for origination activity and exceptions
- Review and research unposted/unprocessed item reports and correct/return items as necessary
- Receive, research and process stop automatic debits and account blocks
- Research and process reclamation requests, affect offsetting entries and create tracking logs
- Prepare communication/reporting for originations, exceptions and reclamations
- Communicate with customers and branches to resolve problems and follow up on outstanding issues
- Cover wire transfer related tasks and monitor internet banking email inquiries and enrollments
- Control and maintain activity records, enforce departmental controls, audit and security policies
- Maintain, backup and archive files; prepare electronic and document files for offsite storage
- Maintain pre-authorized EFT files, prepare tickets, letters and memos as required
- Act as backup for all Electronic Banking Department functions and cross-train in existing and future functions
- Perform various clerical duties as directed by manager
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of ACH rules and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access
- Excellent data entry skills
- Good mathematic and investigative skills
