About the role

  • Lead the development and execution of Alto’s data science, analytics, DevSecOps, and AI strategy in close partnership with the CTO and other executive leaders.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across data science, data engineering, business intelligence, and analytics functions.
  • Establish and maintain a unified data platform, ensuring data accessibility, quality, and governance across the organization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Growth teams to enable data-driven decisions that improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
  • Advance our use of machine learning and AI to optimize logistics, personalize patient engagement, and drive predictive insights across the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics, 10+ years in senior leadership roles managing large data teams.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing enterprise-wide data and analytics strategies at scale, ideally within healthcare, healthtech, pharmacy, or logistics-focused organizations.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, and AI applications in business contexts.
  • Strong understanding of modern data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Snowflake), and analytics tools (e.g., Looker, dbt, Airflow).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical insights into business impact.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools (Slack, GSuite, Jira, etc.).
  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or related) (preferred).
  • Experience scaling data and analytics functions in high-growth or multi-site organizations (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data systems, EHRs, or pharmacy fulfillment workflows (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging AI and data science to transform customer or patient experiences (preferred).
