About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the CEO’s proprietary narrative platform aligned to Alteryx strategy, differentiation, and market opportunities
- Translate company strategy into CEO-ready messaging for business, technology, and data/AI audiences
- Create and maintain a CEO message house, briefing library, and standing Q&A
- Lead CEO media strategy and execution, including target outlet strategy, story angles, pitch calendar, and proactive/reactive plans
- Secure and manage high-impact interviews, including strategically relevant TV appearances
- Build relationships with reporters, editors, producers, and influential voices
- Oversee preparation for CEO media moments, including talking points, interview briefs, mock Q&As, and on-the-spot support
- Own CEO social channels end-to-end, including voice, cadence, guardrails, drafting, publishing, approvals, and performance tracking
- Convert CEO moments into posts, clips, and commentary, and build a repeatable executive-content system
- Partner with Corporate Communications and corporate PR on weekly CEO-focused editorial meetings
- Coordinate CEO visibility across PR, marketing, product, and investor relations as needed
- Partner on issue preparedness, crisis communications support, and CEO response protocols
- Establish governance for CEO statements, escalation paths, and risk-aware decision-making
- Define and report on CEO visibility success metrics, including coverage quality, message pull-through, share of voice, social engagement, audience growth, and content amplification
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–10+ years in executive communications, PR, media relations, or strategic communications
- Direct CEO/C-suite support experience
- Proven ability to secure top-tier earned media, including broadcast/TV opportunities
- Exceptional executive writing and editing skills, with ability to draft quickly, clearly, and in an authentic CEO voice
- Strong editorial judgment and news instincts
- Ability to identify and create compelling story angles
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management across the Office of the CEO, Communications, PR, Marketing, Legal, and Investor Relations
- B2B technology experience preferred; data, analytics, AI, or enterprise software strongly preferred
- Existing relationships with priority reporters/producers or a track record of building them quickly preferred
- Experience building modern executive social strategy preferred
- Ability to create a durable, differentiated CEO narrative platform
- Media instincts and understanding of what is newsworthy and how to package it
- Ability to run a disciplined editorial cadence and keep teams aligned
- Executive presence to advise the CEO with confidence and tact
- Ability to move quickly without introducing risk
- Capacity to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls
