About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Cashier, bus tables, sort guest-facing garbage, clean bathrooms, and perform other duties assigned by management according to the weekly schedule
Assist guests with Food & Beverage purchases and operate point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and product levels within the food court and all building areas
Maintain water stations and condiment areas
Clean and maintain restrooms
Execute Palisades Tahoe’s waste management program, including recycling, composting, and consumer waste reduction
Deliver a fun and friendly experience to guests and co-workers
Maintain restrooms by washing sinks, picking up trash, and cleaning toilets and stalls
Vacuum carpeted areas throughout the facility
Accommodate guests’ requests
Perform heavy labor, snow removal, hauling trash, and furniture moving
Work at outside venues as required
Provide friendly, positive, top-quality customer service
Operate a quick-service cashier station handling cash, credit cards, coupons, discounts, and correct change
Balance cash at the end of the shift and maintain safe, accurate cash handling
Maintain a tidy, organized cashier area and stock checkout items
Use company values to deliver a great employee and guest experience daily

Requirements

What you’ll need

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service and safety awareness
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
Neat and clean appearance in compliance with company and location grooming policy
Adherence to company and location uniform standards
Punctuality and ability to report at the scheduled start time
Ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to remain patient, calm, and composed in a fast-paced, high-volume, demanding environment
Basic computer skills
Ability to walk or stand for 80% or more of a typical 8-hour work shift
Ability to occasionally carry, lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to occasionally squat, bend, kneel, reach, balance, climb ladders, and shovel snow
Ability to work frequently in outside weather conditions, extreme cold, wetness, and/or humidity, and occasionally blizzards and extreme storm conditions
