About the role
- Perform radiation transport analyses using Monte Carlo and deterministic methods
- Develop and validate shielding designs for nuclear systems and facilities
- Conduct dose rate calculations and radiation protection assessments
- Support ALARA evaluations and regulatory compliance analyses
- Perform neutron and gamma transport modeling for complex geometries
- Execute skyshine, streaming, and activation analyses
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and regulatory review
- Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Requirements
- Solid foundation in nuclear or radiation physics
- Experience in radiation shielding, protection, or transport modelling
- Hands-on experience with Monte Carlo simulation codes – ideally MCNP
- Familiarity with nuclear regulatory requirements and radiological safety standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to document technical findings clearly.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
