About the role

  • Perform radiation transport analyses using Monte Carlo and deterministic methods
  • Develop and validate shielding designs for nuclear systems and facilities
  • Conduct dose rate calculations and radiation protection assessments
  • Support ALARA evaluations and regulatory compliance analyses
  • Perform neutron and gamma transport modeling for complex geometries
  • Execute skyshine, streaming, and activation analyses
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and regulatory review
  • Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Requirements

  • Solid foundation in nuclear or radiation physics
  • Experience in radiation shielding, protection, or transport modelling
  • Hands-on experience with Monte Carlo simulation codes – ideally MCNP
  • Familiarity with nuclear regulatory requirements and radiological safety standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document technical findings clearly.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
