Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise erection and construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of a water treatment plant near Odessa, Texas
- Liaise between design engineering and construction during plant erection
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance
- Manage outside vendors and suppliers to ensure project specifications and performance requirements are met
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures and log sheets for equipment storage, installation, and initial operations
- Develop and execute installation, assembly, and storage plans
- Perform quality inspections of electromechanical and rotating equipment with clients and representatives
- Maintain safety standards during executed work
- Prepare technical reports for customer records and future outages
- Resolve alignment issues and calculate plumb adjustments using plane geometry and chemistry formulas
- Lead or assist customers with electrical and instrumentation requirements supporting commissioning, startup spares, and operating and maintenance practices
- Participate in Customer Factory Acceptance Tests and Control Systems reviews
- Perform on-site programming for water treatment control systems and assist with electrical installation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Automation and E&I Leaders on project execution and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Water Treatment field, or 10 years of experience in Construction and/or Commissioning
- Strong customer relationship focus
- Knowledge of or ability to learn water treatment equipment and startup processes, including Reverse Osmosis, Clarifiers, Thickeners, and Pressure Filters
- Ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
- Basic water treatment chemistry knowledge
- Hands-on electrical experience, including reading and interpreting drawings, electrical panels, junction boxes, cabling, and grounding practices
- Familiarity with setup, installation, configuration, calibration, and/or maintenance of instrumentation used in water treatment processes
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Site assignments may be in foreign countries and may involve remote work camps
- Ability to meet physical demands, including occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college is desired
- Oil and Gas experience is desired
- Training in Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures is preferred
