About the role

  • Acting as primary on-site representative at delinquent supplier locations across North America.
  • Stabilizing industrial processes and restoring production transparency.
  • Executing recovery initiatives to align supplier output with Safran’s operational requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Procurement, NPI, Quality, and Supplier Performance Management
  • Conduct deep-dive assessments using tools such as 8D, Pareto Analysis, and Value Stream Mapping to identify bottlenecks and systemic failures.
  • Negotiate and validate formal recovery plans that are credible, time-bound, and include measurable milestones for backlog reduction.
  • Implement tracking mechanisms to provide real-time visibility into Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure supplier commitments are backed by physical inventory and production evidence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience working with Aerospace Manufacturing
  • Proven experience in supplier recovery, industrial project management, or manufacturing operations.
  • Mastery of industrial engineering tools (Value Stream Mapping, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Strong understanding of production processes and backlog recovery strategies.
  • Ability to lead complex recovery projects under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence senior leadership at supplier organizations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% across North America.
