About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide comprehensive veterinary care for horses at every stage of life
Deliver general equine practice services with emphasis on equine sports medicine and lameness
Build strong client relationships through education and preventative medicine
Serve a diverse sport horse clientele, including racehorses, show horses, fox hunters, and backyard horses
Perform ambulatory veterinary work within the four-season equestrian community
Participate in shared on-call duties with the doctor team
Collaborate with Tryon Equine Hospital, board-certified surgeons, and an internal medicine specialist on cases
Use digital radiography, ultrasound, shockwave, endoscopy, and gastroscopy equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in South Carolina
Accredited to practice in South Carolina
Enjoys all aspects of general equine practice
Strong emphasis or interest in equine sports medicine and lameness
Experienced veterinarians and veterinarians who completed a one-year internship are encouraged to apply
