About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive veterinary care for horses at every stage of life
- Deliver general equine practice services with emphasis on equine sports medicine and lameness
- Build strong client relationships through education and preventative medicine
- Serve a diverse sport horse clientele, including racehorses, show horses, fox hunters, and backyard horses
- Perform ambulatory veterinary work within the four-season equestrian community
- Participate in shared on-call duties with the doctor team
- Collaborate with Tryon Equine Hospital, board-certified surgeons, and an internal medicine specialist on cases
- Use digital radiography, ultrasound, shockwave, endoscopy, and gastroscopy equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in South Carolina
- Accredited to practice in South Carolina
- Enjoys all aspects of general equine practice
- Strong emphasis or interest in equine sports medicine and lameness
- Experienced veterinarians and veterinarians who completed a one-year internship are encouraged to apply
