About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Clinician applies psychological/counseling principles in assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management, and program development.
- Responsibilities will include diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning.
- The clinician provides a variety of interventions, such as individual, group, child, and family therapy.
- Interventions will focus on short-term problem-solving therapy, short-term cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, and substance abuse treatment.
- The clinician collaborates with the patient to define treatment goals and measures of success by utilizing evidence-based outcome measures.
- The clinician attends various conferences/workshops concerning mental health treatment, and may be involved in several research studies or multidisciplinary projects.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the California Behavioral Science Board.
- Master's level degree required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, and minimum one year of clinical experience for LCSW.
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English and other predominant language of the population served preferred.
