About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Clinician applies psychological/counseling principles in assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management, and program development.
Responsibilities will include diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning.
The clinician provides a variety of interventions, such as individual, group, child, and family therapy.
Interventions will focus on short-term problem-solving therapy, short-term cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, and substance abuse treatment.
The clinician collaborates with the patient to define treatment goals and measures of success by utilizing evidence-based outcome measures.
The clinician attends various conferences/workshops concerning mental health treatment, and may be involved in several research studies or multidisciplinary projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the California Behavioral Science Board.
Master's level degree required.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, and minimum one year of clinical experience for LCSW.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Bilingual English/Spanish or English and other predominant language of the population served preferred.
