About the role

  • Oversee the translation, editing, and proofreading of Simplified Chinese video game content from English into Simplified Chinese.
  • Collaborate directly with client-side stakeholders to align tone, style, and terminology.
  • Drive creative language decisions across a variety of game genres and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, and linguistic resources.
  • Review key assets, manage linguistic escalations, and resolve queries.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Audio, LQA, Project Managers) to ensure linguistic consistency and quality.
  • Train and mentor both internal and external translators on best practices and workflows.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize localization processes.

Requirements

  • Native-level Simplified Chinese and fluency in English (written and spoken) are a must.
  • Familiarity with Blizzard ® projects (such as World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch and Diablo).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience editing video game content.
  • Solid experience with CAT tools and project management platforms (e.g. memoQ, Jira, MS Office).
  • Background in linguistics, translation, or language studies.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in client calls and team meetings.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work in Central European Time (CET).
