About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Carry out all stages of the sales cycle (from lead generation/prospecting to closing, including customer loyalty, retention, and growth through cross‑selling/up‑selling)
  • Visit clients and potential clients to understand their needs and present solutions that are technically feasible for them
  • Analyze the market and anticipate potential needs
  • Prepare technical‑commercial proposals, present them, and negotiate with clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (preferred: Environmental Sciences, Food Industries, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Veterinary Sciences, Agricultural and Animal Production)
  • Professional experience in business development and/or technical-commercial activities (2 years)
  • Professional experience in the areas of activity of ALS Life Sciences Portugal, S.A. (highly desirable — e.g., consultancy and/or commercial roles)
  • Ability to build and maintain close, trust-based relationships with clients
  • Customer-oriented
  • Resilience and strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Initiative, ability to prioritize, and strong organizational and planning skills
  • Enjoys challenges and has a strong results- and goal-orientation
  • Proactivity, good teamwork skills, and adaptability to different contexts and people
  • Strong personal presence and credibility
