About the role
- Responsible for the entire supplier lifecycle, from supplier search and selection and contract negotiation to ongoing performance evaluation
- Management of procurement for consumables (including catalog administration)
- Coordination of subcontracted services in consultation with the relevant departments
- Negotiation of prices, terms and conditions, delivery times and payment terms
- Optimization of external services (early payment discounts, unit prices)
- Continuous market analysis and identification of trends to secure competitive advantages
- Management of the fleet and operational oversight of the external fleet provider
- Continuous improvement of operational processes and maintenance of master data in the item/product management system
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial training, e.g., industrial clerk or wholesale and foreign trade clerk, or a degree in business administration
- Proven, substantial experience in procurement/purchasing
- Experience or knowledge in fleet management is an advantage
- Strong negotiation skills and a detail-oriented, highly structured working style
- High level of initiative, creativity and an intrinsic drive for continuous improvement
- Confident user of Microsoft applications and ideally practical experience with ERP or inventory management systems
- Proficient German language skills for both social and professional use (min. C1 level spoken and written)
