About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including revenue growth, gross margins, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts, helping to compare actual financial results against targets.
  • Help analyze ingredient sourcing costs, manufacturing variances, and logistics expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research on trends in the pet food industry, e-commerce channels, and competitor financial performance.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly financial decks for senior leadership and department heads (Sales, Marketing, Ops).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field (Rising Juniors/Seniors preferred).
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel (you should be comfortable with formulas like VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables).
  • Exposure to financial modeling or data tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a knack for turning raw numbers into meaningful stories and actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across different departments.
  • A genuine love for animals and an interest in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or pet care industry!
