About the role

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings
  • Manage the supplier selection process, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and contract negotiations
  • Analyze procurement data to monitor spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide appropriate support
  • Maintain accurate records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
  • Oversee supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting to align procurement activities with financial objectives
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Prepare procurement reports and presentations for senior management
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Experience using procurement software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings in procurement
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with contract law and vendor management practices
  • Experience with international procurement and global supply chains
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of procurement principles and best practices
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large sets of data
  • Understanding of inventory management principles
