About the role
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings
- Manage the supplier selection process, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and contract negotiations
- Analyze procurement data to monitor spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide appropriate support
- Maintain accurate records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
- Oversee supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting to align procurement activities with financial objectives
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers
- Prepare procurement reports and presentations for senior management
- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience using procurement software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
- Proven track record of achieving cost savings in procurement
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with contract law and vendor management practices
- Experience with international procurement and global supply chains
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of procurement principles and best practices
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret large sets of data
- Understanding of inventory management principles
