About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and improve the frontend development loop for local development, builds, and testing
Drive CI/CD reliability, speed, and deployment confidence across the frontend platform
Evolve microfrontend architecture, module patterns, and monorepo standards
Build and maintain self-service tooling and internal platform capabilities
Embed AI across the web SDLC for code authoring, testing, debugging, and documentation
Define, track, and improve developer productivity metrics including build time, DORA, and developer CSAT
Identify systemic friction in the developer journey and implement scalable solutions
Work closely with the European team on strategy and roadmap while owning outcomes end-to-end

Requirements

What you’ll need

Principal-level experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or internal tooling
Deep hands-on experience with web CI/CD, including pipeline design, reliability, and build optimization
Hands-on experience with CDN and edge infrastructure, including CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, and S3
Solid knowledge of modern frontend technologies, including React at scale, microfrontends, and module federation
Experience scaling frontend observability across errors, performance, RUM, and analytics
Track record of improving DevEx metrics, including DORA, DX insights, and CSAT
Strong instinct for identifying systemic friction and solving it pragmatically
Proven ability to operate independently in a distributed team across a timezone gap
Hands-on experience applying AI tooling to real engineering workflows
Based in the EST timezone
Nice to have: experience with progressive delivery and feature flag platforms
Nice to have: experience with test platforms and QA automation
Nice to have: familiarity with Kubernetes-based infrastructure and cloud-native deployment patterns
Nice to have: prior work on a platform or DX team serving frontend engineers
