About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own, operate and evolve the Cloud and Kubernetes based Platform
Continuously improve infrastructure security, reliability, cost efficiency and performance
Champion standards and drive initiatives to promote uniformisation and eliminate duplication
Collaborate with Product teams to enable them to build and own their services
Work with SRE and DevEx Platform teams to create a coherent, quality Platform
Enable self-service and agentic workflow patterns supporting a Build it - Own it model
Build tooling and AI-powered integrations that reduce the cognitive load of complex infrastructure operations
Support systems for a globally distributed Engineering organisation
Execute, automate and support operational tasks on complex, mission-critical systems
Architect, design and implement simple, maintainable solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extremely experienced in Kubernetes, containerisation and AWS cloud
Proven track record running Kubernetes and cloud-based production SaaS systems at scale
Deep understanding of networking and production-level service meshes and gateways
Strong operational and troubleshooting skills with Kubernetes, databases, messaging systems and storage layers
Proficiency in Python and Golang, preferably demonstrated through infrastructure tooling, Kubernetes operators or control plane components
Highly performant CI/CD practices supportive of agentic workflows
Ability and desire to design, lead, influence and deliver ambitious technical roadmaps
Nice to have: management of large Kubernetes-cluster fleets with lifecycle management tools such as CAPI or Rancher
Nice to have: production usage of HashiCorp Vault or similar secret-management systems
Nice to have: GCP and Azure knowledge
