About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set the UX direction for the core AI and agentic experience, including the vision and roadmap toward the product north star
Partner with the SVP of Product and multiple PMs across New York and the UK to advocate for the best experience within business, timeline, and technical constraints
Solve complex, data-dense UX problems involving defaults, information overload, AI trust, transparency, citations, confidence, control, reversibility, and cohesion across surfaces
Prototype in code and with real data, contribute directly to high-leverage surfaces, and set the craft bar
Define AI-native design standards across the product
Help evolve the code- and AI-readable design system
Coach, grow, and support a small team of senior designers
Hire and level team members as the organization grows
Multiply team impact through UX audits, opportunity maps, product narratives, design reviews, and quality bars
Communicate proposals persuasively to VP and C-level stakeholders using customer evidence and business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of relevant design experience at technical and product-driven companies
Track record of owning and shipping the experience for a major product area, ideally in complex, data-dense, or expert-user domains
3+ years in people management preferred
Strong product-design judgment and ability to shape direction using evidence
AI-native product judgment, including trust, control, and workflow transformation in agentic and probabilistic systems
Hands-on craft and technical fluency; comfortable prototyping in code
React or modern front-end experience is an advantage
Experience using AI tools in the design workflow
People leadership, coaching, and team-development capability
Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical partners
Comfort operating in ambiguity across teams
Curiosity about or experience in financial services, fintech, or other high-stakes professional domains
Ability to travel or be located in NYC, a similar time zone, or otherwise work with those teams
