About the role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT Infrastructure roadmap aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives, specifically covering physical office technology, network, and end-user hardware.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging hardware, networking, and AV technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables for physical office build-outs, network wiring, hardware deployments, and AV installations.
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and communicate project status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the IT team responsible for infrastructure design, device lifecycle management, and hardware support.
- Design and implement physical network and Audio-Visual (AV) integration solutions, ensuring compatibility, stability, and security across the various meeting spaces and office locations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners/contractors to define physical infrastructure and AV requirements, develop detailed specifications, and conduct testing and validation.
- Define and enforce architectural principles, standards, and guidelines for endpoint configuration (laptops/desktops) and physical network infrastructure to maintain a robust and cohesive IT landscape.
- Manage and oversee the laptop and network configuration management systems (e.g., MDM, RMM) to ensure security, patch compliance, and consistent device configuration for all end-users.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Support AlphaSense’ mission to achieve Security by Design, collaborating with the Information Security and Privacy teams to ensure compliance objectives are met across all physical devices and network access points.
- Manage the development and reporting of metrics that highlight hardware and network performance, infrastructure uptime, and end-user satisfaction with physical technology.
Requirements
- 8+ years experience in information technology
- Professional certifications, such as: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft MCP, ITIL, or PMP
- Solid knowledge of physical network architecture (LAN/WAN), cabling standards, and network security devices (firewalls, switches)
- Proven ability to manage device lifecycle (procurement, deployment, disposal) for laptops and peripherals
- Experience with Audio-Visual (AV) system design, integration, and management for modern meeting spaces
- Ability to communicate complex hardware and networking information to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and principles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in hardware troubleshooting and network diagnostics.
- Soft skills: Finance management, vendor management (for hardware/services), change management, process improvement, stakeholder management, excellent written and verbal communication.
