About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsibility for strategically relevant categories and suppliers
Actively mitigate price increases
Achieve real cost savings
Data-driven and AI-supported procurement
Independent management of defined suppliers and categories
Build and manage supplier scorecards (delivery reliability, quality, costs)
Run structured tenders/RFQs, negotiate terms and handle renegotiations
Establish and maintain full spend transparency
Benchmarks, price analyses, category-level forecasting, reporting and KPI management vis-à-vis VP and COO
LLM-supported market research and contract review
Automate recurring sourcing workflows and help shape modern, data-driven sourcing methods

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience in strategic procurement/sourcing, ideally in FMCG / pet food / food
Independent responsibility for tenders and negotiations in double-digit million-euro volumes
Experience with data-driven sourcing methods and market intelligence
Confidence in dealing with critical suppliers (scale, conflict situations, brand relevance)
AI affinity & data-driven mindset — you use modern data and AI tools natively
Hands-on, assertive, results-oriented
Business fluent in German and English
